The Saint-Jean-Port-Joli Musée de la sculpture sur bois, Woodcarving Museum, the largest interpretation center and most prestigious woodcarving museum in North America, is undergoing renovations just in time to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The gift shop has been redesigned and the permanent exhibition paying tribute to the Bourgault family has been revamped to include bilingual interpretive panels.
A new temporary exhibition entitled Quebec: Between Myth, Religion, and Politics offers visitors the opportunity to relive the defining moments that shaped our province through the eyes of artists who illustrated their visions of our collective experience.
Experience the history of sculpture and crafts with more than 250 remarkable works by renowned artists such as the Bourgault brothers, P. “Clout” Cloutier, and the many sculptors from the region who left their mark on their era.
